- overview of international law documents concerning regulations on exploration and future exploitation of strategic mineral resources on the seabed beyond the limits of national jurisdiction from 1967, in particular the United Nations Convention on the Law of Sea of 1982 and Agreement relating to the Implementation of the Part XI of the UNCLOS of 1994 (see section “Documents”) and UN documents on according of the pioneer area in the Pacific Ocean to the Member States of the Interoceanmetal Joint Organization
– overview of documents of Czechoslovak and Czech State bodies on the participation of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic in the exploration and preparation of exploitation of polymetallic nodules (resolutions of the Government and the Parliament of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic) and on ratification of the UNCLOS by the Czech Republic
– methods of deap sea geological exploration
– overview of optimal methods of the future industrial mining and processing of polymetallic nodules on strategic metals and other products and another use of these minerals in other industrial sectors found out by the Interoceanmetal Joint Organization; research results achieved by other contractors (Japan, France, Russian Federation, Germany, Republic of Korea, China and India), by intenational consortiums registered in the USA and by other cooperating States (such as Ukraine, Finland or Norway) or private companies
– measures for mitigation of the impact from exploration and exploitation on marine environment (participation of Interoceanmetal Joint Organization in international programs – e.g. Bentic Impact Experiment /BIE/ in 1994–97, under leadership of U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration /NOAA/ and participation of experts from Japan, Russian Federation, Germany and Republic of Korea; comparison with other national environmental programs such as German DISCOL, and participation in new programs on protection of marine environment organized by ISBA, including possible establishment of future marine protected areas in the Clarion-Clipperton fracture zone;
– documents relating to the training of ISBA trainees from developing countries by Interoceanmetal in 1994 – 95 (3 of them were specialized in geophysical methods in geological exploration of nodules and one trainee worked as a metallugical engineer – processing of nodules on metals)
– international cooperation in nodules exploration with other organizations and private companies from the USA, Germany, France, Great Britain, China, Japan, Republic of Korea, India, Russian Federation, Ukraine and other countries interested in exploitation of mineral resources from the seabed
– samples of nodules from Clarion-Clipperton zone, pressed briquettes from granulated nodules which were used for processing on metals
– semifinished materials made by metallurgical processing of non-ferrous metals – non-ferrous metal alloys (Mn, Ni, Co, Cu, Mo and Zn) and samples of pure metals made by hydrometallurgical technology (Ni, Cu and Ni) from polymetallic nodules
– shark teeth found during the taking of nodules’ samples from the seabed
– expert publications (i.a. an atlas of nodules in the world), maps and materials from conferences and sympoziums (e.g. conferences organized yearly by ISOPE /International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers/ or conferences of various marine research organizations)
– photographs and movies on polymetallic nodules and their exploration
– survey of exploration expeditions of Interoceanmetal in the Pacific Ocean and their results; technical parameters of research vessels
– overview of involvement of Czech and Slovak organizations and companies in research works until 2000
